Expansion of Maison du Sport International underway

More than 1,500 people working across over 50 sport organisations and as well as various sport related companies call Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, their home. Many of them are located in the “Maison du Sport International” (MSI). This unique complex, set up by the IOC, the canton of Vaud and the city of Lausanne, aims to promote collaboration and build synergies among the different sport stakeholders.  Officially inaugurated in 2006, the MSI is currently being expanded to allow new International sport Federations (IFs) and organisations settle in Lausanne.

The efforts to service international sport organisations and other related stakeholders go far beyond offering office space though. A dedicated “Olympic Capital team”, also located in the MSI and made up of representatives from both the city of Lausanne and the canton of Vaud, assists all the sports organisations in the area, from administrative assistance, to offering topical seminars and support for the organisation of events.

In order to spread the word about the new office space and related opportunities, the Olympic Capital team will attend this year’s SportAccord Convention, to be held from 2 to 7 April 2017 in Aarhus, Denmark.
