Get on your marks for the 2018 PERL Awards

The call for nominations for next year’s PERL Awards, which recognise entrepreneurial activity, innovation and creativity with economic impact on the Lausanne region, is officially launched. Start-ups and established companies from the Lausanne region have until 12 January 2018 to apply with economically viable projects introducing new services, products or business models. ThinkSport encourages innovative minds and creative souls in the sports industry to come forward!

All of the projects will be assessed against their economic impact, expertise and relevance to other activities in the region by a jury composed of academic experts, business and media representatives. This jury will select the winners of the five Awards and of an overall prize money of CHF 100,000. The official awards ceremony will take place on 2 May 2017 at the Théâtre de Beaulieu in Lausanne and will be broadcasted live by a regional television channel.

This is the 16th edition of the PERL Awards, initiated by the Lausanne Region. To date, 62 entrepreneurial projects were awarded, worth CHF 1.4 million.

Two years ago, the start-up company Technis won the Sports Technology Awards in recognition of their idea to develop a new generation of tactile sports fields, able to recognise the activities occurring on the surface.
