Need to manage a complex sport event? Check out SEMOS!

SEMOS stands for Sport Event Management and Organisation Seminar. The course, run by AISTS since 2001, provides an overview of the key tasks that sports managers need to successfully plan, communicate and operate when organising sport events. It offers a 360° view and behind the scenes look at the mechanics of sport events of different sizes, from local to international.

Allowing professionals to gain all of the benefits of a university course and education on a specific topic in a condensed time frame, this open module also considers the increased expectations of spectators, media and sponsors at major events.

Registration is now open for the 2018 edition, which will take place from 8 to 12 October. Target groups are professional, part-time or volunteer managers and organisers of sports events, as well as staff from sports organisations looking to successfully lead and manage a complex sport event.

As part of an international class of 35 people, participants will learn from industry experts from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), FIFA World Cup, Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games, the tennis tournament Geneva Open, Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), World Rowing (FISA), International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), and many more.

The participation fee is CHF 1’980 and comprises course material, lunches and coffee breaks. Representatives from International Federations and AISTS alumni receive a 20% discount.
