Start-up company Levuro specialises in Transmedia Storytelling

Levuro is a Swiss start-up with presence in Zurich and Lausanne, specialised in digital content marketing for broadcasters, TV stations, sports organisations and brands. The young company unites TV, online and mobile platforms to increase and enhance consumer interaction, motivating viewers to become responsive users. Levuro has developed the following products and services:

  • An “Over The Top (OTT) solution” to showcase live and on-demand video content on mobile, tablets, web computers or smart TV. It comes with direct marketing capabilities with user segmentation, content recommendations and direct marketing, such as push notifications or segmented newsletters.
  • Further distribution of the most engaging content to social channels such as Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube to engage fans and additional audiences using Levuro’s “Transmedia Storytelling” Framework and Social Engagement Marketing Tools.

Thereby, Levuro helps content owners, event owners, sports personalities, club managers, and league marketing firms to maximize the total digital fan engagement.

Levuro’s first clients include the organisers of the Porsche European Open golf tournament and Swiss football star Xherdan Shaqiri. For the Porsche European Open Levuro takes a transmedia storytelling approach to promote the tournament in the run up, during and after the event. It uses the OTT solution including live streaming and social media engagement and, thereby, multiplies the number of fans.
For Xherdan Shaqiri, Levuro converts the large social media reach into a fan community that can be monetised. The company combines video, news and sponsoring packages and, through its transmedia storytelling framework, ensures fan activation.

Levuro built on the experience of “joiz”, a social TV channel in Europe, which provided the technology as well as production teams for an optimised live and on-demand video experience. It also works closely with sister companies specialised in internet TV streaming and media data science.

With its unique concentration of international sports organisations and sports agencies, Switzerland is the perfect country for Levuro to expand its business and offer its services to top athletes, clubs and sports federations. Levuro also pitches its technological solutions to small TV channels which aim to transmit an optimal live and on-demand video experience from linear TV to a variety of online platforms in order to engage and reach a much wider range of audiences.
