Dear friends of sport,

2017 was a year chock full of highlights, with the official announcement last week of The SPOT being the proverbial icing on the cake.

For those of you who haven’t heard, The SPOT is our new annual international event aimed at fostering innovation in sport by bringing together the outstanding expertise in our proximity and including international 'Innovation Spotters'. We have been working on the concept for months and are eagerly awaiting the first edition in May 2018 at the SwissTech Convention Centre in Lausanne.

Whether you come from the sports industry or other sectors, from Switzerland or abroad, we will make The SPOT a must-attend event for everybody with an interest or stake in sport, physical activity and technology, and for those keen to think outside the box.

We warmly invite you to discuss with us in person how we can maximise the benefits of your participation in this event. You can learn more about The SPOT in this newsletter and on www.thespot2018.org. More details on the programme, including speakers, will be unveiled early in the new year.

This final newsletter of the year also provides us with an opportunity to thank you for your openness, inspiration, collaboration and shared ideas throughout 2017. We are very much looking forward to working with you on The SPOT and other exciting initiatives in 2018!
