Dear friends of sport,

Last week’s ThinkSport general assembly brought official confirmation that THE SPOT will be back next year! Following the success of our inaugural event a few weeks ago, the second edition of THE SPOT will take place on 28-29 May 2019 at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne. Please save the date if you are keen to continue, or indeed start, playing a part in our ‘sport and innovation adventure’. We have many exciting ideas for next year’s edition already, and if you have some of your own then please do not hesitate to share them with us. Needless to say, we will also be taking your valuable survey feedback on board.

Together with our colleagues from the Canton of Vaud, the City of Lausanne, UNIL, and EPFL, we are also busy working on the concept for the new sports-related startup incubator. We are convinced that this new initiative represents a great opportunity to further stimulate our region’s unique sports ecosystem and to attract interest from around the world. We will be sure to keep you fully informed about all new developments in this regard.

We hope you enjoy reading our June newsletter, which features the latest news and upcoming events across the many sectors of our rich and multi-faceted network. The various angles that you each have on topics relating to sport make our work all the more enriching.
