AISTS - International Academy of Sports Science and Technology

Created as a not-for-profit foundation in 2000, AISTS -  International Academy of Sports Science and Technology -  include as Founding Members the International Olympic Committee, the EPFL, the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud.

The AISTS, is committed to professionalising sports management through the three core activity areas of continuing education, applied research and providing an engaging platform for industry connections.

Through its continuing education services, the AISTS prepares tomorrow’s international sports managers through the Master of Advanced Studies in Sports Administration and Technology (AISTS MAS in Sport Administration), held each year on EPFL Lausanne campus. Ranked the number one Sports Management Masters programme in the world, the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration brings together over 140 international sport experts in the sciences of Management, Technology, Law, Medicine, and Sociology to produce strong and inspired industry leaders.

The AISTS also offers professional development opportunities to international sport organisations such as SEMOS (Sport Event Management and Organisation Seminar) and the Sustainable Sport and Events open module as well as onsite training for major event organisers.

The AISTS’s applied research arm conducts independent and commissioned research, as well as helping federations and sports organisations navigate an increasingly complex sport landscape through advisory services. The AISTS areas of focus lie principally in major sport events, international sport management and administration, the development of sport and innovation as well as sport for social and economic impact.
