Under the overarching theme of “Sport 2.0”, new technologies, commercial opportunities and best practices in the sports sector will be discussed at the fifth edition of SportCity, a biannual congress in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. The event will be held from 6 to 7 March 2018 in the SwissTech Convention Centre in Lausanne and gather more than 400 professionals during plenary sessions, round tables and workshops. The conference language will be French.

SportCity 2018 will be opened by Jean-François Martins, Deputy Mayor of Paris, in charge of sports, tourism and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, who will present specific aspects of the organisation and legacy plans for Paris 2024.

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) 2020 in Lausanne, crowdfunding, esports, mobile applications for sports promotion and new sports flooring technologies are other important topics on the two-day programme, which will offer exciting debates, discoveries and networking opportunities.

SportCity is organised by the Swiss Association of Sports Services (ASSS), in partnership with the Association of Swimming Pools In French and Italian speaking Switzerland (APR), the Association of  Artificial Ice Rinks in French and Italian speaking Switzerland (APART & T) and the Swiss Association of Sports Sport Managers (ASMS).
