City of Lausanne invites local companies to join in YOG 2020 experience

In less than two months’ time, the third edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) will kick off in Lausanne and the region. From 9 to 22 January, more than 1800 talented young athletes, aged 15 to 18 from approximately 70 countries, will compete at the highest level in 8 sports, 16 disciplines and 81 sporting events.

The sporting competitions will be complemented by a wide range of educational and cultural programmes for the athletes, but also for the local population. Under the motto “Lausanne en Jeux”, the City of Lausanne promises 14 days of YOG fun and festivities for everybody in the downtown area in January and has just published special offers addressed to local enterprises and organisations. The latter can provide their employees with a special YOG experience through organised team outings which combine sport, culture and gastronomy. Whether you want to test your sporting skills on an artificial ski slope, contest your colleagues in curling, head down the luge slope in Avenue Jean-Jacques Mercier, watch a play specifically created by local art students for the YOG, listen to beats by young artists or just enjoy yummy, local food, you can choose among a wide range of offers tailored to different group sizes, needs and expectations.
