Exclusive Olympian scholarship with IMD Business School

IMD is partnering with the IOC and UEFA to provide two Olympians with scholarships for its Innovation in Action programme, which will explore fresh ways to reinvent the customer and fan experience in sport and entertainment. The programme will run from October 2021 to January 2022 and combine virtual and in-person learning elements during three different modules. The two scholarships will cover programme costs, travel and expenses while in Lausanne.

During the programme, the beneficiaries will put innovation and their entrepreneurial thinking into practice with a real-world innovation challenge; bolster their leadership skills; and apply what they have learnt to their own business with a concrete action plan.

Criteria for selection
Only applications from Olympians with a good level of English and available to participate in all the programme modules, including the six days of face-to-face learning experience in Lausanne between 15 and 20 November 2021, will be considered. Some prior professional experience is also required.

The scholarship is designed for individual entrepreneurs, managers and executives who want to learn the mindset and skills required to steer customer innovations from early concept development to validated breakthrough solutions. It will appeal to people from a wide range of industry sectors, operating both within and beyond the world of sports and entertainment.

The deadline for applications is 27 September.
