FISU World Conference on Innovation, Education and Sport: Call for Papers

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) will organise its World Conference on Innovation, Education and Sport on 13 and 14 December 2021, during the Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade.

In the focus: Challenges and opportunities in sport in modern society with a special focus on dual career, digitalisation, and women in top-class sport. Researchers and experts from different areas are invited to submit abstracts on these very topics. The call is aimed at students, scholars and researchers from various disciplines such as sports sciences, sociology, educational sciences, management studies, health sciences, marketing, etc. and experts concerned with sport and its integrating function in the global society.

The objective of the conference, which will be held in English, is to create a networking platform for scientists who will present and promote the research on scientific innovations and enhance the sustainable development of sport. It is in particular an opportunity for the young generation of scientists and scholars from different disciplines to discuss new ideas or to arrange joint initiatives.

The rich conference programme will be organised in different formats, including plenary sessions, parallel sessions, poster sessions and round tables. The day after the conference is reserved for visits to the competitions and participation in the cultural programme.

The conference, which will take place in the premises of the University of Lucerne, is organised jointly by the University of Lucerne, the Universities of teacher education Lucerne, Zug and Schwyz and the Universities of Applied Sciences of Lucerne and Grisons.
