IOC President confirmed for Sport Future Rendez-Vous 2019

Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been announced as keynote speaker for this year’s Sport Future Rendez-Vous, which will take place on 5 June in Lausanne.  Jointly organised by ThinkSport and the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the annual event features expert discussions on pressing topics in sport.  On the agenda this year: the future of the Olympic Games, with no one better placed than the IOC President to open the debate. After his speech, Thomas Bach will take questions from the audience.

The subsequent panel discussion on key Olympic Games topics will be moderated by Emmanuel Bayle, UNIL-ISSUL Professor, and Jean-Loup Chappelet, UNIL-IDHEAP Honorary Professor, and feature the following experts:

  • Stefano Caneppele, UNIL-ESC Professor;
  • Benjamin Cohen, ITA Director General;
  • Despina Mavromati, lawyer, former CAS Managing Counsel;
  • Martin Müller, UNIL-IGD Professor; and
  • Susanne Schödel, FAI Secretary General.
