Right to Play urges everyone to get active for a good cause

Right to Play, an international organisation which helps underprivileged children around the world to fulfil their potential through play, has launched its “Be active and move the world” campaign. The initiative kicks off tomorrow, 28 November, on a global day of giving dubbed “#GivingTuesday”, and will run until 23 December 2017. Companies and sport lovers alike are encouraged to get active in any way, shape or form, and make a donation every time they get moving. Right to Play will devote the money raised to projects designed to allow disadvantaged children around the world to experience the power of sport and play.

There are various ways to take part. Companies can, for instance, design their own campaign and encourage their employees to walk to the office instead of taking the bus and to donate the money they saved on the bus ticket. Alternatively, employees can meet up for a weekly run and share in their success by making a donation to disadvantaged children around the globe. Participants around the world are encouraged to share their activities on social media using the hashtags #bewegdich #bewegdiewelt #righttoplay and #powerofplay. They will also receive a certificate of achievement from Right to Play in recognition of their efforts.

The Right To Play Switzerland team is setting a good example by donating one Swiss franc for every step they climb for the world’s disadvantaged children during the campaign period.
