Start-up competition for smart stadium concept in Madrid

Start-ups from around the world still have until 21 September 2018 to come up with innovative ideas on how to convert the Anoeta stadium, located in San Sebastian, into a smart venue. The Madrid based Global Sports Innovation Center is running a start-up competition for technology-based companies and solutions which can help improve fan experience, security and sustainability of the stadium. The venue is currently under reconstruction. 

The initiative, powered by Microsoft and conducted in collaboration with the Real Sociedad de Fútbol, both aims to help the First Division club to improve the facilities of its stadium and to help start-ups that develop solutions for the sports industry to promote their products and services in the market on a large scale.
