Meet new ThinkSport Director Claudine Breton

ThinkSport is excited to announce Claudine Breton as its new Director. A native Canadian, Claudine joins ThinkSport from the International Air Transport Association, where she previously worked as Director for Strategic Events and Partnerships. In that role she fostered an ecosystem of members and partners focused on driving innovation within the aviation industry.

In addition, Claudine has also experience with the sports industry. In the early stages of her career, she was involved in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Organising Committee, working closely with the International Federations. Subsequently, in 2002, she took on a role with a sponsor, gaining additional experience in the Winter Games. However, as she emphasises, the most impactful learning in the sports world came from her interactions with Paralympians.

Reflecting on her new role as Director of ThinkSport, Claudine Breton said:

“Joining ThinkSport marks a return to my initial passion - the sports industry. Reconnecting with this community of passionate individuals and contributing to shaping the future trends and solutions within its ecosystem lie at the core of ThinkSport's mission. I'm committed to building upon the solid foundation laid by Anna Hellman and her team and eagerly anticipate 2024 to explore new potential collaborations.”

Anna Hellman, who has served as ThinkSport’s Director since its inception in 2015, will commence her retirement by the end of this month and is currently facilitating a smooth transition.  Anna has been an integral part of the international sports movement for much of her professional career and has been instrumental in writing ThinkSport’s success story to date.

Looking back on her mission within the sport and innovation space these last years, Anna Hellman said:

“It was a highlight of my career to help steer the evolution of ThinkSport to date and I am grateful for this unique experience. Thank you to everyone who has been open to new ways of collaboration, fresh concepts and courageous decisions suggested by ThinkSport. ThinkSport’s achievements reflect the joint efforts of an exceptional ecosystem and I am sure there is much more to come. I’d like to wish my successor, Claudine Breton, all the best for her new and truly exciting role.”
