Sport and Tourism: Part-time Bachelor programme attracts International Federations
Did you know that the Sierre-based HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts offers a Bachelor in Tourism which may provide exciting opportunities for International Federations?
Alain Imboden, Head of the Tourism Degree programme at HES-SO Valais-Wallis explains: "There are lots of obvious connections between tourism and sport and given the unique sport ecosystem in Switzerland, we are keen to bring together our students with the many International Federations in the region. First, our students study part-time and are eager to acquire practical experiences in the sport sector through internships or part-time employment. Then, we know that our graduates in Sport Management have skills and knowledge which are valuable to International Federations - quite a few of them have found positions in sport organisations.”
The Bachelor's degree in Tourism of HES-SO provides a global vision of the tourism economy by offering modern training that is adapted to the realities of the market. Focusing on key skills such as management, the digitalisation of services and sustainability, it offers a highly varied and individualised curriculum with many options to choose from. Learn more.
