University of Lausanne offers leadership course to sport executives

Lausanne and its surrounding region is a true hub for sports organisations. After a successful first edition last year, the University of Lausanne (UNIL) offers again a training course “Leadership and Management in Sport”, in order to leverage this unique concentration of people working in or with sport and responding to requirements in a competitive environment. The programme is tailored for managers and leaders in sport administration who are keen to stay up to date about the latest evolutions in the sports industry, learn about new management methods, adapt their leadership style and build teams within their organisations.

Delivered in the form of seven modules (two days each) combining theoretical knowledge, case studies and exercises, the training course will empower the participants to quickly integrate new concepts, apply them in their organisations and thereby maximize performance within their internal structures. The programme will run from March to June 2018 and will cover the following topics:

  • Sports policies
  • Performance management in sport organisations
  • Leadership & change management
  • Sport & social responsibility
  • Economic models and financial management
  • Project & risk management
  • Sports integrity & regulation

The working language will be French and a good knowledge of English is required.
