HEIG-VD - School of Business and Engineering Vaud
With over 2,000 students, the School of Business and Engineering Vaud (HEIG-VD; Haute Ecole d’Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud) is the biggest school of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). The school offers Bachelor degrees and Masters in Engineering and Economics as well as other postgraduate programmes. Thanks to the applied research & development of its 14 institutes and interdisciplinary groups, the HEIG-VD significantly contributes to the creation of new competencies and new products in the field of sport by collaborating with the economic and industrial sectors. Among these, a number of institutes have developed new technologies capable of analysing, improving and following high level athletes' performances in a great variety of sports such as golf, motorcycling, archery, football and more. The most innovative institutes were able to create start-ups.
