Accurate Transmission of Timing Pulses
Design of a radio communication system for sending timing information during ski competitions.
During ski competition, radio markers are placed at the beginning, middle and end of the track and broadcast timing data of skiers. The MIS Institute designed a radio communication system for sending those timing information, from 4 emitters to 1 single receiver, while handling message collisions. On the receiver side, timing data are still accurate within 10 microseconds.
