Cadix: a Heart rate Monitoring knee Device
Development of a knee device for the measurement of the heart rate for archery athletes
The MIS designed a knee device which allows to measure the heart rate of archery athletes. The measurement system is non-intrusive and does not intervene on the top of the body.
The device is placed under the knee and does not disturb the athlete while practicing and moreover it is easily removable. The goal of the device is to show to spectators the emotion and the stress of the athlete. The device is wireless and not expensive, moreover it is well accepted by the athletes themselves. The device was used in Tokyo in 2012 at the Final of the World Cup of Archery.
The project was made in partnership with Tabrasco SA and the MIS built the device of measurement and managed the radio transfer of data to the television trucks.
