Apply now for the Fit for Life Awards 2022

Not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises still have until 15 February to apply for the Fit for Life Awards 2022. Initiated by the Fit for Life Foundation, these annual awards support impactful, innovative solutions aimed at older and middle-aged people, promoting lifelong fitness and health. The Foundation will select three winners which will each receive a total of EUR 100,000. Grants will be disbursed over 3 years to facilitate tracking and monitoring of the projects’ performance and impact. This multi-year support enables Laureates to steadily scale up their programs, while building public awareness of the importance of healthy aging for communities.

To select the organisations it supports, Fit for Life adopts a rigorous approach, which includes three stages of due diligence and ten key selection criteria. Candidates need to demonstrate both operational excellence and evidence of impact. Wanted: innovative programmes that display a clear vision, are focused on beneficiaries’ needs, and are both sustainable and scalable.

The mission and activities of the organisation or initiative must directly address healthy aging for older (65+ years) or middle-aged people (45+ years) and focus on one of the following themes:

  • physical fitness;
  • exercise and sport;
  • mental well-being;
  • mobility;
  • nutrition;
  • at-home care;
  • community support for older people;
  • prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs); or
  • other forms of preventative health support.

About the Foundation
The Fit for Life Foundation supports healthy aging and independent mobility of older people in aging societies worldwide through grants to innovative projects and by building global awareness of the value of physical activity.

The Fit for Life Foundation was established in 2020 as a public interest, not-for-profit foundation based in Liechtenstein. It promotes the vision of its founder Jack Lowe, a Swiss entrepreneur and all-round athlete who has experienced first-hand the positive impact of sport on his ability to remain healthy, active and engaged in old age.
