One day to go ‘til THE SPOT 2022!

It’s less than 48h until THE SPOT 2022 will open its doors and everyone – from the organisers, volunteers and partners to the speakers, exhibitors and of course the delegates – is in the starting blocks for ThinkSport’s international sport and innovation event in Lausanne. 

“After such a long time, it’s great to give everybody a chance to finally meet again”, says ThinkSport Director Anna Hellman. “Of course, a lot can be discussed and achieved online, but we are all human beings and face-to-face encounters do generate different and very valuable conversations.”  

During the last two years, the pandemic has further increased the speed and scope of innovations. At THE SPOT 2022 participants will be able to explore and understand the latest trends and solutions; connect with experts who can advise on innovative undertakings; and learn from other sectors.

The seven conference and workshop themes have been defined through dialogue with the unique sport ecosystem in the region. They are aimed at addressing the most pressing topics the sports industry is currently facing:

• Shaping and retaining the workforce of the future
• The future of fan engagement
• New technology and digital revolution
• Activity and social impact
• Investment trends in sport
• Air quality and its impact on sport
• Adaptive sports

In addition, at the Marketplace and the Demo Zone participants can present and discover new products and solutions. The ten winners of the Air Quality & Sport Challenge will also use this space to present their ideas on how to tackle climate change in sporting environments. Furthermore, they will pitch their innovative solutions at a dedicated session during the event.

“THE SPOT will expose participants to a wide range of content and experiences all happening at the same time”, says Anna Hellman. “The programme will actively involve all participants and incite them to learn, explore and debate. It will be more interactive than ever before, and we don’t want anyone to sit still.”
