The evolution of learning in support of games delivery

News release from olympic.org

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is initiating a Request for Information (RFI) procedure to support its ongoing analysis of options for the provision of services in support of its “Information, Knowledge and Games Learning” (IKL) work.

Delivering the Olympic and Paralympic Games is a unique and exciting challenge. At the same time, the delivery journey consistently produces new challenges, opportunities, technological possibilities and stakeholder expectations. Rapid and effective knowledge and skills acquisition is critical to confronting complexity, driving understanding and enhancing capability. It is a vital element supporting the very rapid growth that all Games organising committees experience.

Supporting this delivery journey places demands on the IOC to provide best-in-class learning capabilities and solutions, in order to continuously exceed expectations in a rapidly evolving environment. Equipping and empowering the people involved, by offering a suite of knowledge and learning products and services, is a fundamental aspect.

This RFI is a first step in taking a fresh look at all the possibilities available to the IOC as it continues to evolve what it offers in terms of knowledge and learning, and fully supports the myriad people delivering the Games, enabling them to achieve their highest potential.

Initially, all interested providers should contact ikl@olympic.org to express their interest by Monday June 29th, 2020.
