The Fit for Life Foundation awards 4 innovative and impactful organisations in the field of healthy aging – applications for 2023 open

The Fit for Life Foundation recently recognised four outstanding, innovative and impactful organisations in the field of healthy aging, selected among over 500 applicants from 80 countries around the world. The Fit for Life Awards provide EUR 100,000 grants disbursed over 3 years to facilitate tracking and monitoring of the project’s performance and impact. This multi-year support enables Laureates to steadily scale up their programmes, while building public awareness of the importance of healthy aging for communities.

This year’s Laureates are:

  • CAMI Sport & Cancer in France, which uses physical activity to improve the wellbeing of cancer patients during treatment, and to contribute to better long-term outcomes;
  • Cycling Without Age in Denmark, which allows elders with limited mobility to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and community around them;
  • Live Life Get Active in Australia, which addresses the massive challenge of obesity in Australia by offering free fitness and health programmes to those most in need; and
  • Mission for Vision in India, which works to eradicate avoidable blindness in India, by providing  high-quality eye care for the most disadvantaged in society.

The Fit for Life Awards 2023

The Fit for Life Foundation has just launched its 2023 Awards programme.

If your organisation makes an impact on healthy aging for older (65+ years) or middle-aged people (45+ years), you are invited to propose solutions relevant to: physical fitness, mental health, exercise and sport, mental well-being, mobility, nutrition, at-home care, community support for older people, prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and other forms of preventative health support.

About the Foundation
The Fit for Life Foundation supports healthy aging and independent mobility of older people in aging societies worldwide through grants to innovative projects and by building global awareness of the value of physical activity. The Fit for Life Foundation was established in 2020 as a public interest, not-for-profit foundation based in Liechtenstein. It promotes the vision of its founder Jack Lowe, a Swiss entrepreneur and all-round athlete who has experienced first-hand the positive impact of sport on his ability to remain healthy, active and engaged in old age.
