ThinkSport gears up for the future
The General Assembly of ThinkSport convened last week to take some important decisions for the association’s way forward. Members discussed the global vision of ThinkSport for the years to come as well as the related strategy necessary to achieve its objectives. The ultimate goal is to keep adding value to the unique sports ecosystem in the region and beyond. The revamped vision and strategy, to be published by the end of this year, will take into account latest developments, needs and trends of the sports- and related sectors.
The General Assembly also welcomed Bart Prinssen as new addition to the Board of ThinkSport. Currently Head of Equipment and Venue Center at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Bart Prinssen has served more than two decades in senior leadership roles. His professional journey has been marked by a focus on entrepreneurship and a passion for the sports industry. In his current role, he is overseeing FIBA's expansive global sports data collection partnerships framework and is managing the relationships within the sports equipment and sporting goods industry.
Finally, it was announced that ThinkSport Director Anna Hellman has decided to retire from her position next year. Whilst she will remain available to advise ThinkSport in specific fields, the position of ThinkSport Director will be published shortly in order to ensure a smooth transition. Anna Hellman has served as the association’s Director since its inception in 2015 and has been instrumental in writing ThinkSport’s success story to date
