Activity Analysis in Trail and Ultratrail Races
Investigations of the dynamics of runner-situation interactions at different analysis levels (prereflexive consciousness, coordination with backpacks, energy expenditure management…) during trail and ultratrail races.
The project aims at (a) describing the dynamics of runners’ activity using first and third person approach in various typical situations occurring during ultra endurance races, (b) identifying the runners’ dynamics of renunciation versus finishing, (c) characterizing their adaptations with their technical gear during races.
A multisourcing data with various methodological settings (course of action analysis, ecological dynamics approach, forum and web site analysis, ecological representative design) were used.
