Optimum Placement for the Timing Sensors for Speed Skiing
Optimizing the placement of the measurement gates for speed skiing, that is, placing them 100 m apart on the fastest stretch of the track. A skier was equipped with high-accuracy GPS receiver and his position was tracked with cm-level accuracy in real-time. The optimal placement of the measuring gates was determined automatically upon his arrival.
